Christmas is coming...
On Sunday, the girls (Mommy, Aunt Susu, Nana, Sydney and Sally) all ventured out into the snow to have High Tea at Tres Jolie in Littleton.
It was really a wonderful tea -- their hot tea menu selection must be seen to be believed, and all the tea food was excellent. And the girls were so well-behaved, it was really a wonder!
Then we dropped off 2 sleepy girls with Daddy at home and the rest of us went shopping. There was virtually no one at the outlet mall, yet the Christmas specials were in full force. Mommy finally found a pair of dress snow boots as well as some Christmas gifts and Nana bought a new purse at Liz Claiborne. We could have shopped more, but the mall closed 2 hours early due to inclement weather! On the weekend after Thanksgiving, isn't that a hoot?!?
When I got back home Sunday evening, Daddy was chomping at the bit to go get our Christmas tree, so we did. Found a fabulous tree lot called McCoy's (thank you to our neighbor Sean for the referral!) and also bought a stunningly gorgeous wreath for our front door. Snow was still coming down, down, down... but it stopped by morning which meant Aunt Susu was able to leave early in the AM to get home to New Orleans.
Yesterday we all spent the day shopping at the mall, which was great fun because we weren't in a hurry and weren't really looking for anything in particular. Nana bought herself a gorgeous necklace from James Avery and we all had a big lunch together at a local Mexican joint, which was very nice and quite yummy.
Today we're just kind of taking it easy...everyone's kind of tuckered out from all the activity lately. Nana and Sally plan to make their gingerbread house project today, which will surely be fun (and tasty!)
Tonight is Nana's last night in town, so we've arranged for a sitter and we're taking her to our new favorite restaurant -- Uniscali. Deeee-lish!
