Website FINALLY Updated!

Well, as of Wednesday, the official name of this blog will become "The Wonderful World of Sally & Sydney" but for now, it's all about Sal-Sal.

We ***FINALLY*** updated Sally's website today so be sure to check it out and see all the great photos we've posted (since EASTER!) My my how time flies. If you wnat to know where you left off, just look at the first 11 pages (yep, told you it's been awhile) and you'll see what you missed since Easter. When you get to the sandbox pix -- red ladybug with blue sand -- you'll know you're at the old stopping point.)

And we also finally set up Sydney's website, which will be located at: http://SydneyJaneGrant.com (SydneyGrant.com was taken by some guy, so we had to include her middle name.) There's nothing there yet, so don't bother going -- nothign will appear before Wednesday!

Sally had a wonderful playdate with her friend Logan yesterday, and today we got her bangs trimmed -- they look just darling. Nana had bought some fabulous velvet dresses last year after Christmas, so Sally will be sporting one of those tomorrow for Thanksgiving dinner. The place where we're going is called Gabriel's and it's in Sedalia (about 8 miles from our house). Our friends Isaac and Amy and their daugther Olivia (19 months old, but sadly, no website to link to) will be joining us as well.

The nursery is coming along GREAT -- it's practically perfect now, very exciting. I have been painting the Guess How Much I Love You scenes since yesterday, so my lower back is killing me, but it'll be well worth it when I'm done.

Today we bought Sally's gift "from" Sydney - a Fisher Price digital camera called "Kid Tough." It's perfect for her -- she loves to play with our cameras (which is probably why they're no longer working, and why Andy is buying me a new one!) so this is her very own camera without all the film fussiness.

It's pink and adorable -- a 2-eye viewfinder, small LCD screen, easy to use (one button to turn it on/off, one button to take the picture -- and it chirps to let you know it took, one button to scroll through the pictures taken and one button to delete any image she doesn't like). Plus it's in a break-proof rubber encasement, designed to withstand "oopsies" (in the commercial, the kid actually throws it down teh stairs and then pretends it's an accident by saying "uh-oh")

Holds 60 pix, and while it's no 10-megapixel resolution like the Canon I'm getting, but it's perfect for web quality and just fine for printing 4x6 reprints.

I figured it's a great way for Sally to interact with Sydney and with friends adn family -- since it will be awhile before she can really play with Sydney (and a couple of weeks before she can even help feed her).

So I'll be wrapping that up adn taking it to hte hospital, along with daddy's presents too. Of course, I can't tell you what I got him, because he actually READS this blog! LOL But you'll see pix of him with it soon enough.

We've nearly finalized the schedule of who's taking Sally when during my hospital stay, just 1 more night to take care of. And on Friday we're interviewing a nanny who we plan to use on a part-time, as-needed basis for Sally. She comes highly recommended by a friend of mine, so I think it will be a good match.

I think that's probably all for now...the nesting instinct is still pretty strong, and I'm close to finishing all the store-purchased Christmas gifts we intend to buy. (lots of online ordering and direct shipping this year, now that we're away from everyone!) I'm also finalizing our Christmas list as we will be mailing out Christmas cards / birth announcements / we've moved announcements (as a combo deal) in the next 2 weeks.

that's all for now...
