Another Week Slips By

Holy cow, did another week slip by without me writing?

Not much to report, all is well per this week's doctor visit. Insurance issues seem to be handled, so hooray! I don't have to pay tens of thousands of dollars to deliver Sydney. Yipppee!!

We're now trying to coordinate having my sister fly in for the day (She's a flight attendant, remember? no big whoop) while Nana is in town so we can do our annual Christmas tea. Seems like the party keeps getting bigger each year, thanks to me...

Also, busily preparing Sydney's nursery for her arrival. What's left? Well, I'd have to actually find and unpack my paints to get her mural painted. So there's that. Also, there are shelves and curtains to be hung, and I'm still searching for just the right look for her closet (we removed the doors and hung curtains). And I'm ironing curtains (which I HATE but I am attempting to do it with love).

And buying, buying, buying, I feel like I am in a buying frenzy. Working out detaisl of who is taking Sally when (during my hospital stay) and also started Christmas shopping.

Because hey, I really don't need to be fighting after-Thanksgiving crowds just a few days before my due date. So it's shop in person now or shop online later. I've got 2 gifts completely finished, ideas for most of the rest, and most of Sally's Christmas shopping is complete as well. We haven't really talked about the whole Santa Claus thing, and I'm not going nuts over it because she's getting a pretty fancy camera in 2 weeks (as a gift from Sydney) AND her birthday is just a month after Christmas. And I'm not planning to buy anything for Sydney this year except a baby's first Christmas ornament!

Although I did buy an adorable first-Christmas velour sleeper for her. Cute!!

Oh, the other thing I'm doing is preparing to send our combination birth announcements/Christmas cards, which we've finally selected. So now I'm gathering snail mail addresses so we can print the labels in advance.

What can I say? You know I love to plan ahead. I'm just creating a stress-free household for our new life change and hoping to create stress-free holidays as well.

:-)
